Brother, you'd love my Mustang! I got the bug up my ass to build something for a rifle there and this is what I came up with:
That is nice.

I am looking to source the same floor mount rifle stands we started using in all new cars. So I can hide a button in the rear cabin or have a backup key.

My old Crown Vic mount has both. The remote switch is, well, remote. :D And there is a key lock on the mount itself.

I scored pretty nicely this morning. My Lieutenant has gone from a Glock 43 to a 43X, and had three magazines with Taran Tactical Innovations +2 base plates. Usually these retail for $58 a mag (mag with baseplate installed). He sold these to me for $60 total for my new Glock 43, and threw in a fourth, bone stock 6-rounder magazine with the Glock pinky extension on it. I think I'm good on magazines now! I had the two that came with the pistol, and one extended mag already.

I can't wait to get my spring kit and night sights in. I should be able to install that stuff Friday morning. ?

Yes! Every dog-gone day! Attention to details, sir. And a straight line is a detail! ?
As you've probably seen, it's last year's calendar. No sense in my replacing it at this point!

I didn't get to enjoy the last days of work before my retirement. I had shoulder surgery in Jan. The Dr said if I tore it up again at work he couldn't fix it so when my medical time ran it's course in Jun I retired. I don't like attention anyway so it worked out.

I'm sorry to hear about the shoulder part, but I'm glad you got out without the attention part. I'm not crazy about it myself. Hell, yesterday was my birthday and I made sure no one around the office knew! I'm dreading some sort of ceremony. My captain told me he is putting me in for a service award. Ughhhh. LOL

If you're on Facebook it's hard to avoid people finding out about your birthday. I wanted to work 2 more years to pad the 401K a little an pay off the ranger but it is what it is.

Enjoy a well earned retirement

The less you tell Facebook about yourself, the better off you are.
Same with pretty much every other app/platform too, I think.
Happy Belated Birthday, John. I hope it was a good one!

I never joined Facebook because I never wanted anyone knowing my business….:sunglasses:
I rarely post anything. I'll share a joke or political link I like now and then. I mostly follow my kids to get pics of the grand kids. With the Covid crap most school indoor events are Parents only so I see them on Facebook. One guy I used to work with has to post every time he takes a dump. His whole profile comes across as he's a whinny pu$$y an he is.

We here in Hawaii it is now legal for a citizen to carry a Tazer in public. This is a big deal and I hope it will lead to more of a push to be able to carry a real gun in public. By the way Hawaii is worse than Cali in getting and carrying guns.
sad. the second amendment should apply equally and fully across the entire nation. people should not have to beg or plead for rights they are already supposed to have. Hope Hawaii gets on board soon. i would almost rather be shot than zapped with a tazer. Most shot with a handgun can go to the hospital and get patched up and live on. Tazers can be just as deadly as a bullet in the chest in some cases.
