Sorry, John I mistook that Rob posted that. My wife likes museums so I will see if it is on our route.

My kid lived in Driggs and worked in Jackson for a few yrs, climbed to the top and then skied down the Grand Teton, I can put you in touch with him if you want to give that a try but he does drive a Tacoma. Some spectacular wildflowers can be seen on some of the hikes.

Thanks. While that sounds like a lot of fun my skiing days have been over with for years now. And as you've heard Annie has a hard time just walking without falling is skiing for sure would put her in the ER. lol

A Tacoma? ? You really need to do a better job at parenting!?

Thanks Steve. I've heard the same about Yellowstone from many others. As much as we want to go there (and will one day) we're going to skip it on this trip and head to Glacier NP right afterwards. We're so looking forward to seeing Grand Teton and have seen all the videos and pictures of the beautiful scenery there and the surrounding area. While the snow might limit us to some areas it won't stop us from getting out there and enjoying the area. I'm hoping the rafting trips are running because we (well mostly me lol) really want to do one of those.
Dave, might want to check Glacier NP......may not be open yet. We were up there late June and the Road To The Sun (to the peak) had just opened that day. At the peak there was 6' of snow! May not be open yet!

I can assure he knows now he should have listed to his old man instead of all his skiing, biking, rafting, camping buddies - many have Tacomas, Toyota was the perferred choice in mid size pickups for many yrs in the mtn towns before getting long in the tooth, he paid $30k for a 2016 TRD PRO with 60k miles, whilst I paid $34.2 for a 2019 Ranger demo with 700 odo miles.
Didn't read the entire thread but if you've never been to Yellowstone it is worth a visit and I think last time I was there was some 5 yrs back in late August and we managed to mostly avoid the crowds by going early and foregoing biggest draws like old faithful, it was our 4th visit to the park, in the 80s we visited most of the national parks out West and its like night and day now with the crowds. However I do remember well our 1st visit to Yellowstone around 1980 either memorial day or shortly after, we camped in a pup tent and after 1day a snowstorm blew in so we departed.

Brian, That's where we're headed after Grand Teton for a week. The Going To The Sun Rd won't be fully open until early July but you can usually go a good distance from both entrances.

Check Vehicle Reservation requirements for Glacier NP.

https://www.nps.gov/glac/planyourvisit/vehicle-reservations.htm
Thanks RR. I missed the opening date because it was early February for the June timed entry passes. You can get then the day before but you have to be fast. Otherwise you can get in without one before 6:00am or after 3:00 pm on the west entrance. The east entrance we're good because the timed entry doesn't start until July 1. We had to do this at Arches NP last year and I was able to get passes 24 hours before but it is still a pain.
