I’m going with the MBRP 304 stainless steel dual exhaust System on Tuesday. The dealership is going to do the install and they are a authorized dealer of MBRP . So I’m not worried about the warranty.

Just found this video for anybody curious as to what the dual exhaust sounds like:

I think it sounds good, definitely on the more mild sounding side, but Gibson’s website claims, “Average horsepower gains are 10-15 and 15-20lb-ft of increase torque.” Pretty impressive numbers. I think I’m sold.

I dont think I can recommend wunder car parts to anyone. Spent 4 hours tonight trying to install this thing. Its definitely labeled wrong. I cannot get the over axel pipe into the rear of the muffler because the flanges are too tight. Also the mid pipe from engine to the "inlet" ( even tho inlet is backwards ) is loose with the 2.5 inch clamp.

Any suggestions here? First time installing a cat back, it shouldn't be this hard.

I installed the gibson system this past Sunday, 2/3 the way through, saw the outlet was labeled inlet, bummer.
Anyway, the pipe section that goes into muffler has be fully aligned or it won’t connect.
Was aggravating but i think worth it in the end

Could you elaborate a little more about " the pipe section that goes into muffler has be fully aligned or it won’t connect."

Does my picture above look ok?

i noticed while installing mine, that trying to put it together by trying to start one side the working it around to where the whole pipe slid into the muffler didnt work. the pipe had to be inserted into muffler straight on, all at one time., you may have to remove the muffler from the truck, and assemble it on the floor to make sure the fit together, then reinstall on truck.

@Litehauler

How tight was your 2.5 inch u-bolt clamp at the pipe coming from engine to muffler? I tightened the clamp all the way and it still feels like I can wiggle the exhaust, is that ok?

would you mind showing pics of yours?

I bought a pipe expander to make the flanges slightly bigger and the pipe slid right in.

Is there a performance issue having the exhaust backwards?

Sorry about the trouble with the install! I ran into the same snags. I had to put that clamp at the very edge of the muffler inlet to get a good seal.

Maybe at the very top end. I had knocked out that restrictor out of my stock muffler and I felt a bigger gain after that. So if you went from stock exhaust to gibson you would notice the gain for sure.
