So I ended up buying the Garmin Overlander back in August and so far I do like it. That said I have looked into trying to add a Rear View Camera to it(vehicle not being the Ranger of course if curious), but there is a slight problem. The only Backup Camera that is compatible is no longer available(thanks Garmin). After speaking with their customer service it seems like they are starting to push more for the Tread Platform for the OffRoad Used and whatnot, so it is suspected in the next few years the Overlander(non Tread) may not be supported anymore.

To get down too it for those that already have a Garmin Tread GPS how much do you like it and do you feel it was worth the purchase?

Well, that's disappointing that the camera is no longer available. I have an Overlander and have been underwhelmed (contrary to my experience with the dozens of Garmin units I've had and have). The camera was something to get around to to make the Overlander a bit more to my liking.

Okay, then, let's look at the Tread line.... :sigh:

It's been a very long time since I had a Garmin car GPS. That was back in the day before map updates were something you could get with the device. So you had to pay for every update. I wasn't going to do that, so the device got outdated pretty quickly.

I have considered getting one of the off-road oriented ones for the times I go off the beaten path, though, because there are still plenty of limitations even if you use offroad apps like Gaia via Android Auto. Because I think that's really the only time I'd use it over any AA mapping apps.

Thankfully Garmin has been pretty good about the map updates and software updates being lifetime with the purchase of the GPS for a while now. In general I do like the Garmin Overlander as it has a bunch of useful tools and helps with navigating the OffRoad much easier compared to apps that require you to have cell service. Even with just basic navigation that the GPS Does I find it much smoother than Android Auto when I used it in the Ranger. Plenty of spots I hit that would make the navigation not work due to no cell service.

Now in comparison to the Garmin Tread GPS Units? I can't say. If someone happens to have one and it fairly close by I would certainly be interested in meeting up with them so I can see it in action and get a better opinion on it.
