Shocks are almost always the droop limiter, by design or not. That's the item that has a hard stop point. This is where limiting straps would come in to play. If you're not flexing out to max, it shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah. It would only really be an issue loaded if I hit an unexpected pothole or the like. I don’t anticipate going full articulation off-road with the camper in the back. Unloaded it’s more of a concern, though

I get that, and my response was not specific to your use case. If you are worried about it, limiting straps are not that hard to install and would prevent the shocks from over extending.

Kind of curious where you got the information for the shock lengths. This is the first time I've seen the specifications on them
Stage 3 has the info on OME:

https://www.stage3motorsports.com/6...u-nitrocharger-sport-rear-shock-standard.html

And Fox publishes specs on their shocks:

https://www.ridefox.com/dl/truck/FOX_TRUCK_APP-GUIDE.pdf

Turns out I was mistaken on the Fox 2.0 rears:

985-24-207 Ext 25.92 Compressed 16.30

The Fox shock is still longer in extension... seems like the compressed length would be more of a concern.

so strange fox rep would not be aware it’s within range, unless I’m misreading.

I have timbren SES which will limit the compression so I’m not terribly worried there.

Compressed length shouldn't be much of an issue still. On the Old Man EMU medium leafs you get 3 extra leafs per side so itnshould be fine

The difference may lie in how "lift" is defined.... Fox is probabaly not aware of the shock that OME uses to control their leafs.

So, I’m going to go for it. Installing the OME leafs with the FOX shocks. I figure if I have issue with the shock overextending I can replace them with the OME in the rear. I reached out to ARB and it’s their opinion that there will be no issue having the OME rear shocks with the front FOX coil overs. Will update y’all with how it goes!

Just some advice on the leaf springs.

1 keep the little spacer on the left side. You might have to grind the little nub off.
2 install the leafs at the shackles first then the front. The Ford Instructions state this and I confirmed when I did my install.

Ok so I had a shop do this one as I’m on a time crunch. Result: a lot more than 2.2”! More like 4”. Got some crazy rake so looking forward to it settling. Also with the camper in it of course not so bad (will try that out tonight).

Oh and heard back again from fox sales/tech rep after some clarification (mentioned I’m not too concerned about compression as I have taller/stiffer bump tops with timbren SES installed) to which I received:

Based on the information provided, I’d say the 985-24-207 is a good shock to consider and the valving/damping is ideal. Keep in mind these have upper and lower hardware to accommodate 12MM mounting bolts. Good job on keeping the bump stops in mind. This a key setup detail that many people overlook.
So all good theoretically.

If the rake doesn’t settle enough there’s always the extra .5-1 inch adjustment to be made on these front 2.0 shocks. To be continued. Also peep the ADD Lite steps! Super solid. And easy install bolt right in.

I’m in the same boat, have an OME leaf pack EL128R on order which are rated for constant load of 1200lbs. My FWC is around 1000lbs and I have the tremor fox shocks.

Oh wow yeah you went for the heavy duty ones. I nearly did but wanted some balance between loaded and unloaded as I won’t always be full timing with the camper. Curious to hear how yours rides

Remember that set of Springs is meant for constant weight. I don't have that springset whatsoever and still have the basic and did increase the rear. Also it'll help with the bigger tires what you do that

The camper is on the truck full time so
I figured I’d get the big ones. I’ve also had airbags in the past and did not like them.
