So my wife's Escape PCM took a dump. It won't start and it's in the shop. Part is expected Tuesday.

No worries.

She gets a 2019 Red Mustang convertible as a rental. BEAUTIFUL CAR!

Here's the funny part. She gets the key fob and the extra fob as well. They are crimped together so they cannot be separated.

How useless is that. Lol

Dealer doesn't want to get them separated. When I bought my truck they couldn't find the second key fob as it was put in the wrong slot so it took a couple days for them to get it to me.

I have rented cars before from Enterprise and they also attach the keys together. It makes it hard to put them in your pocket.

Simple cut the cable. Just dont lose one. But losing just one is cheaper than losing two. They will charge you for every key you lose even if they are tied together.

The last time I rented from Enterprise they did the same thing so the first thing I did once I got home was cut them apart. The fob for the Lariat is like having a boat anchor in your front pocket lol. I hate carrying around stuff in my pockets so no way was I going to lug 2 huge fobs around for a week.

Every time I get a rental car the keys are cabled together like that. The last time to person at Enterprise said I could cut the cable if I wanted to but I didn't.
