Is there a way to change the perceived tire pressure value?

I think that is the term Ford uses.

Aka the psi that the system thinks is normal, like 39 psi.

You also have to factor in the centrifugal force, tire pressure and tire wear to get the exact tire dimensions.

Falken Wildpeak AT3W 265/70R18 2601mm calcuted Forscan 2515mm. if you do the .967 calculation that appears to be dead on for Forscan. At least it was for me.

The 2515mm appears to be dead on with Waze GPS both at city and highway speeds.

Falken Wildpeak AT3W 265/70R17 - 2439mm is dead on with GPS. I subtracted 3.2% from the diameter in mm and got it first try.

Anyone have the circumference for a 33x12.50r17 m/t tire? I have it on forscan at 2490 and I am off by 1 mile.

I keep hearing and seeing Forscan mentioned across this forum but haven't quite figured out what it is.
Any help out there?

It's software developed by some Russian guy that allows you to change settings in your "as built" data. So you can do things like turn off door chimes, add off-road gauges and drive modes, disable auto-start-stop and change your startup screen to other Ford or Lincoln vehicles. He sells licenses by the year but has a trail period too.

Given how many people are changing tires, and the ease of just putting "mm circumference" in forscan to fix speedo error, I was surprised about how every thread I read seemed to suggest there was a lot of trial and error in getting the circumference right to actually match GPS speeds.

I envision this as a spreadsheet where people can update with their data, so that future people mounting the same tires wont have to do all the legwork.

If you reply to this thread, I can add the data to the google spreadsheet so it will show up here without hunting down the thread.
I got 265/70-17 Cooper AT3's. My bud has Forscan and a cable. The first time we put in the actual circumference as per Cooper's website, 2500-something, and it was reading much too high against the GPS. We backed it down to 2400 and it was spot-on.

Just did the update for my 275/65r18 Duratracs to 2474 (should be the same as the 255/75r17s) and did the relearn/update thing after and am getting a "Tire size out of range for module" message but will test on the commute to work in the morning and see what happens.

Edit: So after a few 20 mile trips to and from work it looks like I'm very close to the GPS, enough to not matter much to me, but somewhat consistently around 1 MPH slower than the GPS, which is odd because its from 20 MPH - 70 MPH and only 1 off that whole span.. Will have to get the wife to take a trip with me and read the GPS while I watch the speedo to be sure.

Does anyone know what the max tire size is for the range of the modules on the Ranger? My 285/75/17’s are above the parameter range, and I’ve dropped it quite a bit but haven’t found the right number yet.

How "dead on" are you folks getting? I seem to be really close as far as the GPS, but if I map out 20 miles, I am about 0.2mi off.
