Has anyone received a flyer like this? My dealer sent me an upgrade program flyer telling me their interested in my truck and offering 20% over book. Can this be true? I know there’s probably no inventory to choose from but my goodness I’d be letting it go for more than what I paid for it three years later.. What do they use to determine book value? I used Kelly Blue book for giggles, private party and trade. Private party is what I paid for the truck, now add 20% its very tempting. Even trade in with 20% would put me a couple thousand ahead. What am I missing here.. The “UP” to 20% is probably the catch! Thanks

The used market is still crazy and they want any good used vehicle they can get because there's no new inventory now. I received several of these this year and just toss them out. For one I love my Ranger and already know the history of it. Another is I have all the deleted items on mine which makes it even more rare.....? Might even be a collectors item one day.?

My local dealership hasnt reached out to me once in a year and a half. other than the ford generated notices that I need oil changes etc, nevermind I thought they could see my Ford Pass app and realize I only have 9000 miles.

regardless, not a single call or email from the sales guy, " hey you like your truck" or "hey there are some cool new trucks you might like" All the other cars I bought in the past had some form of dealer follow up, this one. zero.

I think the place is on life support, they dont have any new cars out front to draw people in.
even the service lanes are a ghost town.

Lucky for them I like my Ranger, but when time comes, I will drive right past this dealer for my next truck

Yeah, honesty I love my Ranger to and wouldn't get rid of it, shoot I’m planning to purchased an extended warranty this week lol. but the offer, if real is crazy. Maybe just for fun I’ll entertain the offer and see where it goes., I really do like the Explorer ST.

That's an interesting take.
I've had to threaten two of our local Ford dealers to leave me alone and NOT solicit me for anything at anytime ever. I used to get non-stop calls, emails, and even texts from them and it was maddening.
Glad I finally have their attention. Now I only talk to them when I want to, not when they want me to.

✋ But the Ranger was already being made around the world so "technically" it wasn't a first year run. Plus the drivetrain was already in several other vehicles and was proven to be very good. Oh, and I did wait until July just to make sure there were no major problems.

:whew: That was quick thinking! ?

Trust me if I can get $5500 more than I paid in 2020 for my mint 12K mile 2019 CPO Escape Titanium back in April 22 than 20% in this used car market should be easily attainable. Not only Ford but dealers just don't have loads of vehicles to sell. I just spoke to my Ford dealer and he is doing new vehicle deliveries steadily. Craziest car market I have ever seen and been buying since 1974....I am old.....?...lol.

Very close. I ordered mine, it wasn’t expected till the middle of August but it came in early which was a nice surprise. It still was a painful wait

I got something like this when I traded in my Focus for the Ranger back in 2019 and it was legit. Ended up coming out about 10% over market.

My plan was to do the same with the Ranger into a Bronco but we all know that song and dance.
