Ford Sync app store

I s anybody else having problems accessing the Ford Sync app store? I can access the Ford Pass app catalog through my phone, however, I can't access it through my radio, even when my iPhone is plugged in. Whenever I try, I am told that I'm not logged in to Ford Pass (which I am). I have tried downloading apps that Ford Pass says are compatible with my truck (sygic GPS comes to mind), but when I try to connect my truck to the app, it can't see it. I have the standard Sync, rather than the Sync3. I would think that Ford pass would know that, since it has my VIN number, and therefore knows what factory options that I have.

I don't believe that the apps will work with sync, sync 3 will but not regular sync

Because there are people out there along with fleet companies that only want the basic of the basic.

No I'm saying why have the option shown if it doesn't work. But I got mine to work and was able to look at the lame ass app selection. So back to... Why even have it? The sync/AA is shotty work imo and I'm coming from an old analog. Just venting but I'm not impressed. To me things seem to work intermittently. For example, SOMETIMES I can use the buttons on my steering wheel to change songs. But many times I press next and nothing.. not to thread jack but any ideas? Or I'll start a new.
