I love those old Fords and yours looks similar to my '09 F150. It ran great and never gave me an ounce of trouble.

BTW, Is that the boss with you on her leash? lol
I'm on the leash 😁. Actually we had a Jack Russell that needed reigning in in public places. I loved mine and it was totally trouble free. Only issue was the 7 lug wheels they used made it impossible to find nicer wheels. If the new F150s were still that size, I would have never touched a Ranger. The 2005 F350 I traded it on was a good truck also but with a 11,000 pound gvw it rode like a truck.

I'll have to take your word for it. I've never been inside of his.
Center console gives it away when your in there. So much space between you and the passenger. From a side profile look they are similar. From the front you can see the extra width. When I first got the ranger it felt like I was driving a toy. Now it feels fine.

That is the same way that I felt going from my old F-150 to the Ranger.

Yeah, I suppose that I can see that. When my Ranger was in the body shop having some repairs done, they put me in a Chevy Silverado and the inside space was definitely a lot wider than the Ranger, although I don't think that the outside width was too different.

My 98 sides went up straighter making it feel bigger because the roof didn't curve in like my Ranger. Felt the same size driving, parking, and garage space. My 2005 F350 I stepped up to was huge inside compared to it with room for 3 4 wide seating.

Sure you did! ;)
Here's an old picture of her with him on a leash at the Glencoe campground during a Sturgis rally. He was a fearless creature that would sniff up women's dresses and mark their leg if the time was right. Could chase a chipmunk up a tree and need to be rescued even try to go down a woodchuck hole and have to be pulled out by the back feet. He loved to travel perched on the dashboard of our Winnebago.

Some interesting news (key posts by Ford insiders) concerning Ranger’s future. I think this mostly awesome news.

Very interesting and thanks for posting it here.

I tend to agree with the member on 6G who posted this. The Ranger has seems to be the redheaded step child since coming back to NA especially with their lack of advertising and marketing. I doubt they'll get rid of the Ranger because there's now too much competition in the mid range market. But making it an F100/Ranger seems logical for the reasons below.

What is a little surprising is moving them to the TTP since both the Ranger and the Bronco are built off the same platform. It seems more logical to keep them in the same plant but there must be something else going on behind the scenes. Maybe a more electrified Ranger? 🤔

I think the whole purpose of changing the Ranger name to F100 or F100 - Ranger is to give Ford the ability to include the ranger sales in their classic bragging rights claim that the F-series is the best selling vehicle in the USA for however many decades they been claiming that title.

The reality is Ford includes all F-series sales in that number. So making the Ranger an F-100 makes perfect sense to me where Ford marketing is concerned. Make an F -series and add in its sales figures to the F-series claim to fame.

When GM has actually almost always sold more trucks than Ford.

GM just has their sales broken out into two different brands and 3 different classes of trucks for those two brands.

Or maybe it will share F150 components like the F250s & F350s do. No more 5.0 option in the F150 Platinums Next year either. Did you see the Toyota Stout is comming back in 28? Also supposed to be a new Hybrid Ridgeline in 28.

Yes, like axles. The Ranger SD and F-150 widths are nearly identical and that was not an accident.
