Got this email survey today from Ford for the 4 year Ranger anniversary. Needless to say my response when I went to the survey part was a different engine and transmission would make it a good truck that I would recommend to friends and family. Crappy shifting and oil fuel dilution make me wonder why I still have it. My plus was the heated seats make my back feel good.

I received one last month on my 3 year anniversary and told them the same. I said I was disappointed that they know the 10R80 has issues across all the models and they refuse to change it and they've given several members a hard time when trying to get it fixed under warranty. The recalls are also concerning and as a long time Ford customer I will be keeping my options open when shopping for my next vehicle. I'm sure it went with the rest of them they received.

I did the same for the factory survey also with no response from Ford. Had a survey form the dealer gave them same comments. They at least called me and said if I had any issues they would try and work with Ford on it. Galpin Ford in Los Angles they were great on the purchase, but never used them for service so cannot comment on that.

I gave my dealer (Corwin Ford In Spokane,WA) 5 stars. They'll send me a survey every once in a while and my salesman always sends me an email on my birthday. A couple times a year he'll send me a text asking how I'm doing and how the Ranger is and reminding me if I need anything he's there to help. I never mentioned the transmission to them because so far mine is good and I feel it's not really their fault it's Fords problemPlus they're 1,200 miles away and I wouldn't be able to bring it back there anyways. lol

Corporate drone. Dilbert's world is alive & well.
I’ve gotten several of those. Every time I mention the transmission is junk
Can’t believe Ford hasn’t called you yet! Offer an apology, take you to lunch, drop off a new trans. No? Shocked I tell you.

Good News! 6G does have different transmission and engines.
The 2.3 is direct and port injected, or you can get the 2.7 V6.
The transmission has been 'updated' to a 10R60. Only time will tell how good/bad those are.

Sadly after 7 new Fords the next one won't be another Ford.
