It's crazy that you can buy an old used F150 for like $5k and it will be a more capable truck in every way. I guess fighting all that climate change isn't cheap huh!

i was looking at used rangers online and the prices are just flat out clown shoes. 4g 4x4 in decent shape asking 24k! it was not a fluke example either. all this built back better economy is making prices on used cars crazy. if i can get my 4g detailed and list it for sale at the numbers people are asking I could actually turn a profit off the truck even though its been in the family for decades lol.

I read an article saying there isn't enough cobalt an lithium to make the batteries for all electric vehicle production. As the shift takes off raw materials for the batteries could go up as much as 4000%. New materials are being tested but who knows when a suitable material will be figured out. We need to slow this down until the grid an technology catch up to our political desires.

With the Fed changing interest rates as much as they have, this is what was bound to happen. They are intentionally trying to hurt the economy (I understand why, and don't think its bad right now), and that comes with increasing prices across everything.

Increased materials cause increased prices to the final product. Ford is a business that has a fiduciary responsibility to its shareholders to profit. They can't just sit back and let their cost rise and do nothing about it.

If it was about saving the planet we would be using nuclear power to produce electricity. If it comes from the government it is always about $$$. Their own and that of their donors and lobbyists.
