while they all wait for the tailgate to lower, snipers take them out....

ixnay on the dampers
Nope . Lowering the tailgate with a damper slowly allows you to take out your consumer drone purchased online from Best Buy and take out the snipers before they know you're there . Stealth trumps brute force .

supercabs would have been cooler. i mean, what are they hauling, humans or supplies? both?
I’d say being cool is way down the list of Ukrainian concerns right now. Crew cabs are just more useful.

I there a way to shame GM and maybe others in on this ?

Maybe send Tacos to Russia?

We're trying to help them not hurt them. They need fast trucks over there to get away from the enemy, not something slow and powerless like a Taco. ?:bandit:

If true stealth is required , the less moving parts ,the better , squeaky damper at the wrong time could be bad... but , my arm would be creaking and cracking just as loud ... a push I guess.

Tacos to RUSSIA was my point... Good guys got the good trucks...
I guess GM could send Chevys to one side GMC to the other... both suck...

More comfortable for the rear passengers for sure , not necessarily "more useful " extra foot of bed can be pretty useful...

Besides the donation of the 50 SUVs, GM has given $250,000 to date to support humanitarian aid in the region and matched U.S. employee contributions up to $50,000 to specific nonprofit organizations. The match was reached in less than four days, Svigos said.

donated 50 tahoes - prior to Frod's donation as an fyi
