Hey guys. Im considering replacing my fog lights with an aftermarket upgrade. I’ve got it pretty much narrowed down to the diode dynamics ones or the baja squadrons.
the diode dynamics edge them out a little in price, but for those who went diode dynamics, I’m curious if you went for sport, Pro or max. I do a lot of on road driving so that’s a consideration as well (the baja’s are SAE compliant.)
In the end I just want something much brighter for the dark foggy nights. I’ll be looking into some separate aux lighting for the off road stuff.
any recommendations are welcomed!

I installed DD SS3 SAE Fog Yellow Pros. Perfect fit in the bumper opening. I left in the factory white fog lights, because an extra set never hurts.

They are great for on road, and the back roads. I have never been flashed from oncoming traffic.
Hit some heavy fog driving into the mountains about a month ago. Actually turned off the headlights and only ran the DD’s (with running lights). Really wide pattern too - lights up the ditches and tree line.

Damn! I hadn’t thought of that.
I have an XLT though so the fogs are garbage!

Thanks, I am really enjoying this one.

Even the XLT lights may be worth keeping. My son used Forscan to turn on the cornering lamp option. Nice option of you are keeping the white lights. And Bambi-mode. I recommend this one for sure.

Baja Squadron pro combo mounted in the bumper on my 5g are great for pure light-visibility but not fog. My lariat oem led fogs are not sufficient in fog either. Fog is tricky.. The yellow in bumper option, or lower may be best.

Both are great options! We have tested most of the fog light kits out there on the market today and we personally chose to run the DD SS3 pros for our fog light option. The performance on the Pros have been phenomenal. From the beam throw and power output to the clarity we have seen while in use; we have been more than happy with them. We did a side by side comparison of the Baja's and the DD's as you can see in the attached image. DD on the right, Baja on the left.

First photo was taken around 640pm in the summer (yes both lights were on lol). The second photo was about an hour or so later.

Please feel free to message us if you have any questions or if you need help with a set. We have kits in stock in all variations with free shipping and no tax!

Hey buddy, I’m curious how you mounted the SS3 in the lower grill?
what brackets did you use?

I made a 3pc bracket so it would clear the cruise control radar. I used aluminum angle for left & right vertical sections they bolt to the bumper brackets, and then a horizontal piece bolts to those. Let me see if I have photos and dimensions.

I have the DD SS3 Max in white and you can't even compare them to the stock lights. They are insanely bight and add so might light to the sides. I have them adjusted properly but still get "flashed" frequently....so I pretty much just use them on back roads. Seriously...they are ridiculously bright and pricey too!

I love the DD SS3s for fog...their lens design are among the best in the industry...my other Rigid spots are driving but they're also very solid...

Love that new antenna, Sid. Reception must be awesome. Was it hard to mount to your bed rack?

Hi - resurrecting this thread; did you ever/can you share how you mounted? Looking to do the same. TIA
