Not to contribute meaningfully but I owned a few Pontiac Fieros which I thoroughly enjoyed customizing and driving like they were some exotic. Partially because of a certain reputation they gained I mounted fire extinguishers in the front and rear compartments. I like Soupie's choice and if those were around back then would have kept a couple in the passenger compartment. If I had the means I would have added a remote cable to discharge the extinguishers strategically.

EDIT to add:
If you Google 'Pontiac Fiero fire' images this picture I took with my first camera phone comes up. Not one of my Fieros but that car got scavenged for parts once it hit the junkyard.

My aunt had one, later sold to my dad. The fuel filter on the engine would crack and douse the engine with fuel. He was lucky it never ignited. He sold the car, though I would have liked it, even though it's nowhere near as practical as the Civic hatchback I had at the time.

Figured this might be a good spot to ask, how are people mounting extinguishers? I have the Molle system in the bed and could always go that route but there are also rotopax back there so kind of a catch 22. I like the idea of having one but would prefer a 5lb in the cab.
Mine is in my box of stuff in the bed along with jumper cables, 4 way wrench, towing stuff, etc.
Plastic storage tote with a 1" hole drilled in each side and a tie down run through it to the bed hooks.
