Damn now I need to find someone to chrome my bumper and wheels. I definitely dont want to look like you young whippersnappers that cannot change a tire or lower a little light tailgate.

Hey Dave,

I represent that old man remark....

best,
Phil
I'm right there with you.... but refuse to act my age. I actually like chrome on lighter colored vehicles (IE: White) but this truck wasn't my color of choice. It was a loss leader

Chrome on lighter colors, Black on darker colors,

The thing is chrome like Polished Brass is a dated boring look. (black appearance is working its way there too)

how many homes have a polished Brass chandeler? very very few any more

I like chrome as a functional alternative to paint on things likely to be scratched. I hate pretty much all modern chrome because it's mostly shiny plastic and just for looks, adding nothing at all to durability.

I hate the blackout look for both functional and aesthetic reasons. :)

I got a heck of a deal on my 2020 Ranger (I wanted the supercab with the longer bed), and love the Lariat trim but hated the CHROME. I changed out the grill to a FORD big lettered one and rims with some Black Appearance packaged take offs off eBAY. I used HYPERDIP on the side vents and rear camera. IMO it looks so much better!! I bought a leveling kit, so that will be done one of these weekends. It's DIRTY... Just got back from a 600 mile road trip. I want to remove the bed lettering as well.

Chrome looks better in the long run. Like from the muscle car run days.
