I think if you don’t mind putting things like road equipment and tools in the bed, you won’t notice the smaller cab much. I had a single cab Ranger and an F150 single cab. Both were great but had limited space in the cab. Most of the things that I carried daily did not need to be in a cab so I threw it in a box and stuck it in the bed so I got used to it. Now I have kids and do the same with my 4door Ranger- limit the kibble in my cab and stick everything else in the bed- it’s what it’s for, right? To me, the cab is for passenger comfort and my family prefers it over the 2014 F150 Super crew (though WAY less cavernous).

Hello all, my first post here. I currently have been shopping for Rangers, I have test drove 2 different times. I love my 5.0 f150 fx4 crewcab but the ranger power and torque really impressed me. I love everything about it, only thing that is holding me back right now is the interior space, I am just spoiled with my f150. Any other f150 owners or full size guys switch to ranger any time soon? I just want some of your inputs after owning/driving them everyday. Thanks and great info in these forums!!

Hello and welcome!
I have both a 2018 F150 Platinum my off days and a 2019 Ranger XL FX4 that I bought to commute to and from work down these back Texas roads (deer, hogs) and now I find myself driving the Ranger more when I’m off now. Yes, it is a step down in space but the fuel savings is great. The only time I drive the F150 now is when the wife and I have the grandkids. So I’m at a point where I’m thinking about trading in or selling the F150. But if you don’t have a big family living at the house anymore like me because my youngest daughter started college this year then maybe the switch is in your favor. Before having an F150 I had a 2008 Ranger but then my kids out grew it so I switched up. Now it’s just me most of the time and it’s more convenient driving the Ranger. Good luck either way on your decision!
