Just curious what people consider the best bolt-on mod for a tuned, but otherwise stock, truck...in terms of increasing engine performance and best 'bang for the buck'. I'm digging my truck as-is, but curious about the best way to bump things up a notch in the future.

Let it breath with a free flowing exhaust muffler/system.

What brand and model are people having good luck with?
Theres about 5-10 threads on that already, including a thread with videos.

Its a personal preference. No one has really reported "Issues" with the exhausts, they bolt up, some people have had issues with resellers and the like.

Yes, I saw those threads. Just figured I'd open a discussion on the topic.

Seems that our stock intercoolers do a pretty good job under 'normal' operating conditions. I'm seeing that available turbo upgrades offer decent gains up top but might take away a little torque down low (where I really want power/performance). My personal experience with intake and exhaust upgrades have been kind of 'meh' without anything beyond common bolt-on mods. Our fuel system seems to be plenty capable of supporting a decent amount of additional power. Just curious if there is something I'm missing as I consider possible options.

You are not wrong with what the upgraded turbo chargers do to the power band. The real question you have to ask yourself is what are you doing with the truck? Are you staying on the street? Going offroad? Towing here and there? Those are some things to think about. If you are towing and/or going offroad you are best to keep the stock turbocharger. What you can do to help overall performance is a free flow exhaust like others have mentioned and replace the factory intercooler with one from mountune or when it gets released the Mishimoto intercooler. Those are what i feel are best bang for the buck upgrades without killing the truck.

Toilet!! Cause you'll be crapping your pants over gravimetric seat compression when you tromp that pedal and over the money you will spend on the next mods.:ontheloo::LOL:
