I've seen post about our Ranger having an electric water pump.

-When does this run?

Reason I ask this, I use the Auto Start/Stop on my Ranger (No, I am not here for debate on that I should disable it.), and I noticed when I am using heat and it will blow warm air when the engine is running, but when I am at the stop light, engine stops, the warmth stops right away. As, soon I let off the breaks to move forward/engine starts up, instance warmth comes from the air flow..

I thought I saw something somewhere that the electric pump should be running to provide warmth when the engine stops on the Auto Start/Stop?

I believe the water pump is belt driven on the left side, front of the block.

Aware of the belt driven pump, and thought I saw somewhere else there's an electric one that runs when the gas has stopped.
