That's actually a really sharp looking car and I didn't even know that the Charger was an EV. But I don't want a Dodge and I'd get in way too much trouble with that. lol

Now you should buy it and start Season 3.....My wife threw me out of the house and now I'm living in my new EV.

The day I buy a new product manufactured by Stellantis is the day you know that I have been either replaced by a shapeshifting alien or received a brain transplant from Abby Normal.

What we really wanted IF the Corolla ever died was a RAV4 hybrid. We had a Subaru. Never again. We like Foresters,, but Subaru will never get another cent of my money after the total lack of support for the piece of junk they sold me.

When everything changed, we needed FSD. So we had one choice, a Model Y. I’m not an EV or Musk lover, just trying to find the right tool for my life. It only comes packaged in a Tesla EV.

I'm following in Dennis' @Dr. Zaius footsteps and will drag it out a couple more seasons first. Plus, Danaca is busy these next few weeks so there's that too.

I do have appointments tomorrow at both the Toyota and Tesla dealers to get more info, see what they'll give me for a trade in and test drive again. I have a feeling that Toyota will give me a better trade in because they sell all used vehicles there where Tesla (from what I've read) usually just auctions there's off.

The salesman at the Toyota dealership was really nice and they don't work on commissions there or add stupid ADMs. He did send me this video of a Camry they just got in on Tuesday and it happened to be the exact one (XSE) I'd get and the color and options.

So i need a freaking Toyota song too ? Not much rhymes with Toyota, or Camery and I couldn't think of anything that rhymed with Tesla... any chance you could base your choice on rhymability ? Or maybe purchase it in "Nantucket" so I at least have some limerick material ...

I can't reconcile a Tesla Model 3 versus Camry (of any model). I'm sorry but Tesla wins every time. It's going to be faster especially if you get the Dual Motor. It will look better too. Also, you can run your AC for hours without driving it. This may sound like nothing...but it becomes something. For example, just sitting in your Tesla by a scenic overlook while drinking your favorite brew, in summer, AC blasting. Or take a nice nap. It doesn't sound like a thing until you experience it.

While the speed and power of the EV are nice and amazing there's way more to a vehicle than that for me. Fit, finish, longevity and proven technology are WAY more important than speed. Maybe 30-40 years ago I wouldn't be saying that but now it is. There's really nothing out there that's more proven than Toyotas Hybrid. It was so good even Scotty Kilmer bought one and he's never bought a new vehicle in his life. lol

I have no use to run my AC for hours and it doesn't appeal to me in the least. I rarely drink at home and wouldn't even think of it in any vehicle.

We've taken a couple 5,000 + mile trips and I've never once needed to take a nap. Now the FSD would be nice for those times where you just want to take your eyes off the road for a few to relieve some tension/eye strain. I doubt I'd use it much around town and it wouldn't be something I'd pay $100/month just for that. As we age and start have issues with eye sight or memory I can see it coming in very handy letting you maintain your quality of life. But for now it would be a novelty.

ROI is also another thing I look at with any large ticket purchase. EVs depreciate very fast especially now without the subsidies. If I don't like either one at least I know I'll get more money back (in trade in or resale) with the Camry.

Everyone has different wants and needs and that's why I wanted to drive an EV to see for myself what they were like before making any decisions. They were much nicer and much more fun than I thought but I'm still not sure it's something for me right now. I will say I was (somewhat) wrong about them and wont knock them anymore. I can also say that if we end up with the Camry, that an EV will most likely be in our future. Who knows, I could come home with a Ranger Raptor!

Well the verdict is in. We went to Costco this morning and Saw 1 Tesla, 5 Camrys, and about 1000 of a KIA EV that look very futuristic. KIA wins in an 80 mile poll . The Camry is very good looking though. I bet the cost to keep a Camry running with the ac on is no more then a Tesla should you need to. I just read that 1 year old Ford and RAM trucks have dropped excessive amounts in value with the current incentives on new ones. I have never seen so many KIAs on the road before. At this point with 27s out soon there should be some great deals on them all. Enjoy the hunt.
