Drivers head rest raises on it's own

Anyone have this problem before? Over a few days it'll raise a couple inches. What's the fix? Trying not to run to the dealer for little easy things. Their appointment's are a month out. Have one scheduled for Nov 1 for the shudder/vibration at take off.

I've never heard of anything like that. If you do take it to the dealer, they'll probably want to keep it for 2 or 3 days, if that's how long it takes for it to happen. The little catch that you adjust it with could be failing to engage... ?‍

Make an appointment. Swap headrest with passenger side while you wait.

I had the same thing happen to me with my Ranger. At first I thought the headrest was vibrating upwards just from driving the vehicle, so I would drop it back down once every week or so. Then one day I was getting into my truck and I heard the headrest click. I got back out and looked at it and lowered it back down. I climbed back in and heard it click again. Turns out the way I was getting in the driver’s seat was causing the back of my right shoulder to bump the bottom of the headrest and push it up. Maybe next time pay closer attention to how you get into the driver’s seat? That could be the culprit.

must be lol. it will slowly will go all the way up over a week or so. weird lol. ill swap them around today and see if it follows the seat or actual head rest.
