For today‘s arts and crafts moment, we made our own plush armrest padding from a 1/2” foam pad and felt:
  1. Cut foam to desired shape
  2. Cut 4 layers of the felt padding to the same shape
  3. Place 2 layers of the felt on each side of the foam
  4. Wrap foam and felt with a larger piece of felt
  5. With your parents permission, using a handy hot glue gun, neatly cut and trim the wrap and glue the stuff together
  6. If desired, glue the padding to your cover in a few strategic edge spots to keep it from sliding
  7. Rest elbow in comfort

On the door side I had to add a pad, on long road trips I tend to use the left arm on the wheel, so I made this with two mini straps that tuck in the door between the armrest and the door panel, they just zip tie under the trim, works well enough, I do need to raise the console as well.

any one found a pad that fits our center console lid?? mines starting to feel awfully thin. I have some nerve issues carpal tunnel etc. so it would help to have it be more cushy. Ive seen a lot of covers but none have any padding just cosmetic fluff.
i have this one. not alot of padding but i find it very comfortable. i can put some weight on my elbow when adjusting my butt position in the seat when climbing in and theres no discomfort
