when you buy from Rock Auto, you get a discount code to save 5% on your next order.

they encourage you to share with others

any rules about posting the code and expiration date on this forum so others can save?

If you place an order with Rock, you just might get a magnet with my other Ford. I submitted some pictures of my car back in April and just got an e-mail last week that it was deemed 'magnet worthy' and they have printed a bunch to distribute with the orders. :sunglasses:
Also sent me a batch as well.

Pretty sure those codes are one time use, could be wrong of course.

Mine usually expire by time I actually have to order something lol.

i've seen a number of threads around various places on the interwebs that suggest buying parts on rockauto can be a sketchy affair.

i just wanna order some motorcraft parts. then i see posts about "fake" motorcraft parts from ebay and rock auto.

is this crap accurate, or can we chalk it up to disgruntled people making a fuss about nothing on the internet?

again.. i just want some cheap parts and am unsure if rock auto is trustworthy on motorcraft parts (i've never ordered from them, if you can't tell).

I have always had good luck with them, including returns.

I've been buying parts from them for years, and never had a problem with quality. I've heard that story about "fake" Motorcraft parts... but my understanding is that there are outfits out there that use "look alike" Motorcraft packaging and are selling knock off parts as genuine. As far as I know....Rock Auto"s Motorcraft parts do indeed come from Ford...so it's not a problem.

Rock Auto has been my go to place for auto parts for about 20 years providing I can wait a couple of days for delivery. I have never had an issue of any kind with them. I do like the fact that they have several grades of parts for each item to choose from.

As far as buying Motorcraft parts I do not put any weight over any other brand when making my choices. You have to keep in mind that Motorcraft is a different business unit under Ford and have their own P&L goals so they source the products they sell from outfits that support those goals. It is highly likely when you purchase a Motorcraft branded part it did not come from the same outfit that the factory got their part from.
