Picked up a set of these lights via Offroad Alliance. Kit number is ‘DD6347’ with light color YELLOW / 3000k temp. The kit replaces your entire foglight housing and are rated road legal.

Picture 1: The Lights.

The install is a bit of a pain in the ass. While the Stage3 video(BAJA fog install) does give you a general idea of what to expect, it is not as simple if you still have the factory crash bars installed. I followed a fellow members advice on just removing the FX4 skid plate and air deflectors. This route you are working in very small/tight quarters vs. removing the crash bars. Now I’m saying that, installing the second light(passenger) was a breeze compared to my first attempt. Once you find your rhythm and ways to get the tools working in your favor, the install becomes surprisingly simple.

Picture 2: Tight quarters once skid plate and air deflectors are removed. The Diode fog is already installed here. This is just a photo reference of the compact area.

Picture 3: Reminder, the air deflector has an extension that bolts to the end of the bumper with one off the wheel well panels. The extension ear where the bolt goes through must go behind the plastic wheel well shroud. The photo shows how it should look before you remove/after you reinstall. I didn’t do this at first, and the bolt would absolutely not catch any thread.

Picture 4-5: Post Install.
Picture 6: No Lights.
Picture 7: Fogs only

Picture 8-9-10: Light pattern

As you can see they provide more than enough light. The light brackets do allow for adjustment up/down of the light pattern. If I find myself consistently blinding other drivers, I’ll just need to remove them, and adjust them down a bit.

Looks great. I wonder how these compare to the Baja designs road legal fogs. I was on the verge of ordering the Baja designs one in yellow, but I might have to go with the diode dynamics.

Price was the main factor between these and the Baja. If the Bajas are built anything like this, then you can’t go wrong with either of them.

Some pictures of the truck today after a wash. Love the way the Yellow foglights look.

Those look great! The Diode Dynamics lights have been a great light. All SAE rated for on road use, great output, clean cutoff lines and all at a great price point.

They plan on putting out a new series.....the SS C2

Yes, we saw that. Don't want to say that they're mirroring Baja Designs, but the new SS C2's are very similar to Baja Designs extremely popular S2 series. Regardless they look great and hopefully the price point is great as well!

New lights you say? I did just purchase a KB Voodoo bed rack. I may just need to invest into some smaller lights for that.

Thanks for the write up.

Going in through skid plate worked after unsuccessfully trying through wheel well last week. Still a major bitch to do, especially that 4th torx screw.

I will say the stock mounting location plus the ss3 provides a nice balance between fog and ditch light directions.

I recommend aiming the pod down as much as possible while you’re in there to keep cutoff below the headlights

Yeah good note. These are SAE road rated and the output is higher than that of the Baja Designs ones for a fraction of the cost but all the same quality. Hence, why I went with these in the same color. Actually we have very similar builds so far. lol

I have the Diode Dynamics SS3 Max and they are insanely bright and really light up the road on the sides BUT what an absolute PIA to install them on my 19' Lariat.

SS3 Yellow Pros on my Lariat and it was fairly easy. I did use a friends car hoist. 1/2 hour for both. l really love this lights. I don't have any good pictures of them however. I need some at night. I like the yellow when it's raining or any crappy weather.
