Hey guys, I just finished installing the DD ditch lights and I am really impressed with them. I really like the look and the build quality is right on. I bought the white combo pros. I installed a distribution block and a controller for the lights as well. So far so good. Here are some pics

Awesome lights! I like the auxbeam controller.
Just one thing- being ditch lights shouldn't they be pointed out more to the sides? Right now they look like they're functioning more as spotlights. Nothing wrong with pointing them straight, but ditch lights should be pointed outwards and a bit down. Do as you will!

Yeah, its just kinda your preference of what you want lit up. I was using them more as spot light/ head lights the other day

The problem with that mounting location for actual "ditch lights" is the glare off the paint.

True "ditch lights" would be a wide beam, which will reflect off your hood paint and cause glare.

For this reason I'm a big fan of low mounted aux lights over roof lights or "ditch lights." And if I were to ever mount a in the "ditch light" location it would definitely be a spot beam. And a spot beam is wasted pointing at the ditches.

Yeah, I’m planning on an amber 18” combo light bar and two amber ss3 driving sport pods on my bumper. Then I can use the “ditch lights” for actually ditches!

Food for thought!! Doubling them up!! Those are the driving Max pods.

It's best to use the "driving" or "spot" lens. You won't see to much glare on the hood. I'm using the "driving" lens.

The lens you have is the driving/flood combo. You'll see more glare on the hood with those.

I see you have amber covers on in your picture. What do you like better? I just ordered amber combo lights with extra white lenses from Hot Shot Off-road and am curious your opinion. Where do you have them pointed now?

Haha...very nice bright beam but you still need a "ditch" light...one that points to the ditch... ?

I'm a big fan of all my diode dynamics lights. The fogs, 18" combo, and the ditch lights. I do wish the ditch lights weren't the combo beam though. I like to have them angled out but I feel like I'm wasting a lot of light with the spot part when I really just need to see what's immediately around me.

I like the amber better. It’s nice to have a combination of colors though. The 6000k color is pretty bright white. I like a warmer color tone
