Has anyone pulled the trigger on completely removing the fender liners to allow for greater offroad travel of large tires (thinking 35s)? Looks like it wouldn't be tough to grind back some of that metal knife edge if needed.

When there’s a will, there’s a way. I couldn’t upload the video showing it but here’s how I added 35” tires (35/12.5/17) on my 2019 Ranger with the Eibach coil-overs with rear reservoirs, Deaver Springs Prerunner leaf pack, SVC Baja Bumpers front and rear. I removed crash bars, trimmed and cut. Behind the wheel wheel cover on the back of the tire is a honeycomb plastic piece with 4 bolts that you’ll need to remove as the tire rubs on the felt liner and plastic. I didn’t remove all of the liner just cut roughly a 10” square. Unless you’re looking for it or behind the tire, you won’t see it. I’ll be welding on some black plates to cover/clean it up. My truck is getting there! I’ve been on this forum for a few years now and I’ve noticed there’s a lot of people telling you what not to do with your truck just because they wouldn’t or won’t. Some with valid reason some without. Like the one’s who’ve never taken their trucks off road or have fewer than 10k miles after a few years of ownership. I have 123k miles on my truck. I’ve gone through different suspension setups, wheels and tire sizes. It’s all up to you and what you want to do with your truck. That’s the beauty of having the freedom of choice ?? hope the photos help anyone thinking of or have the urge to throw on bigger tires

@Socalnative... that looks easy enough! Do you get full suspension travel on the front the way you have it or does it hit the liner when off-roading at full flex?
Absolutely! Fully flexed I have full suspension travel and have hit steep angles while turning at around 10-15mph and didn’t hit or scrape. I plan on adding fiberglass front/rear fenders to allow more clearance with the 35s and the Baja kits long travel. Anyone with recommendation on fenders in the socal area please let me know!

ADV for sure on the fiberglass. That's the best looking one IMO. I'll be going long travel in the next couple weeks.

I pulled the liners out and i trimmed and ground down that lip. If I bottom the front out the tires still rub the structure up there. I also cut the bottom of the bolts that stick out into the wheel well like in your pic. I didn't want my tires getting chewed up by them. I've been running without liners front and rear for at least 6 months now without issue. Does my engine bay get dirty? yes but I do not care as I clean it out when I clean the truck. I'm on 35's and will be going to 37's when my current tires wear out. Also will be on long travel in 2 weeks and will be mounting ADV fiberglass fenders shortly after. I currently have the same control arms you have and you can see the indention they've made in the support structure above them from bottoming out.
