i think its more like a rigid felt material, if we are thinking the same thing.
Kind of like the material you find in the trunk of a car.
Yes, that is better description.

These make it easy to get behind them if you need to. Very flexible.

Anyone ever run across the carpet type? I have those in two Fords I own.Only in the rear wells, I have not determined if they are easier to clean. Its kinda weird
I wish they would just they would cover the entire wheel area. I usually end up crawling underneath and making panels to keep mud from slinging in every corner. You have to be careful how much you actually cover. I just hate cleaning in those small spaces and come out looking like I been in a fight with a bear.
The felt holds a lot of dirt.
Can power wash, soap, power wash, soap and still dirty water runs out. But helps interior noise.

I wonder if we could clean them really good, then spray them with that rubberized undercoating. maybe that would make them easier to clean? I dont use rubberized UC, just thinking it would put an outer layer that would not trap dirt.

Might, but wheel wells receive a lot of damage. Rocks stuck in tire ribs fly out at speed, plus they are thrown up from the road as one drives. I think a rubber coating would wear or come off. Just a thought.
I thinks OE Ranger front and rear plastic wheel wells are good. Easy to wash and look good.

Wishing these OE liners were long enough to cover the holes in the frame.

I agree, they could of atleast put a rubber piece over it.
