I appreciate your comments. It sounds like we are in the same boat. I absolutely enjoy having the garage filled with nice vehicles and it really is my version of a drug addiction. I am really stuck on the fence as to what to do. I don't need them and obviously rarely drive them, but they aren't costing me anything other than tags, insurance and a little bit of electricity for the battery maintainers.@ NeilP
In your first post you wrote " As I get older, I find myself thinking about downsizing " so it sounds like a state of mind thing not a financial thing, ( I'm just guessing there obviously).
If those vehicle make you happy owning them i would keep them and try to overcome the state of mind or the reality of 'needing' them.
I say this because i own 4 vehicles that i don't drive much ( a '15 Camaro RS & '23 Camaro SS,
a '23 Chevy Equinox daily driver, and the '19 Ranger and next spring/summer i will be shopping for a 7th Gen model Corvette.
Now i could clearly get away with one or two, but i can afford the cost of the 4 , i don't need them in practicality but i want them i enjoy working and driving them as a hobby of sorts and get a bit of satisfaction doing those projects, going to meets & shows they are my sort of drug, LOL
I realize and admit that it is not the most practical thing to own these where i'm putting on roughly 13,000 mile per year spread randomly over the 4 but i do it cause i can.
You have some nice vehicles that appear to be well kept, just make sure you'll be just as happy without them as you are with them.
Good Luck.
You would win that bet! I doubt that the Jeep will ever even see a gravel road. They put mag-water on all the gravel roads here and that crap is worse than road salt.Normally you would look at needs. Does payload, towing difference dictate you keep one over the other? Given you do not use either I'm not sure what you want us to say. If you don't need a truck and would rather have the money, sell them both.
Anyone want to bet on if the jeep sees jeep use?
Had the house deal that we were working on a couple of months ago gone through, that very well may have happened! It was the "perfect" home on two acres with two attached garages. There was enough space for 7 vehicles and very nice size work area for the work bench, tool boxes & storage cabinets.Screw everyone...........buy 3 more vehicles !!! I am a dog lover also and the dogs have a huge impact on my vehicle decisions. Which is the absolute favorite of the pups? I have 2020 Ranger, 2018 F150, 2015 Edge, 2012 Escape, 1985 Toyota 4x4 pickup, 1968 F100, 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe. I bought the 2012 Escape for ease of loading them. Two Border Collies and two Miniature Aussies, they love the Escape. My wife will not let them in Edge. I would say keep all and flip the seats flat in the back of your Escape and they will like it like the Jeep.
