the Ford near me brought in Tuscany badged F150s. All over 100k Canadian. Some pushing 120k. And they never stayed on the lot for very long.
If the markets there, they will sell.

I know dealer installed kits aren't cheap. The labor is shop rate, the parts retail...so if you're not a hands on guy, thats your option to get a rad truck.

I believe dealers could slash both those costs and still make a good profit. But they don't want just marginal profits.
Would sell more also.
I think dealers should add more mod options. Small and big.
I like doing my own but many will pay for a dealer install based on price.

How much for the Balloon?
They wanted 43000 for it. It was an XLT 302A package with no locking rear diff. Pricey considering I bought the same package with a locking rear diff for 33 without the lift and wheels. Tennessee prices seem cheap compared to what I've seen on here for others

These trucks on dealer lots are for when dad (who owns a local construction company) needs to buy a brotruck for his teenage son. All of them probably come with a complimentary flat billed hat with a "my first copenhagen" kit in the glovebox.

The balloon is on special for 48 easy monthly payments (with approved credit).

And why am I not surprised that this JC Whitney catalog looking abomination is still on the lot?
Wow, they're still asking $50k+ for it?!?

When I first started to shop and negotiate on my Ranger, I had a dealer pull this on me (Chapman Ford, Scottsdale). I had selected XLT 4x4 as the tallest truck my short wife could get in and out of and she would need the assistance of the grab handle and the side steps to do it.

I found the VIN that I wanted using the search. Negotiated over the phone / e-mail. Arrived at a price (Sub A/Z Plan) because they needed to make a sale. Got there and the truck was all of the sudden $20k more. WTF!!!???!!!

Sales Dick-Wad says, "Yeah, but wait until you see what we did to it for you!"

We hop in a golf cart and go shooting up to the front of the lot and there, articulated on carefully placed boulders on a dirt incline is a really slick looking Ranger.

Tires, Wheels, Exhaust, Step Rails, Lift Kit, Lights, etc... All upgraded and super over the top cool. I think they even had a pair of veiney truck nutz hanging off the back.

He asks if I want to take it for a spin. Hell no I don't! What I want is to stay married and if I get a truck that my wife needs a F-ing ladder and a fireman's pole to get in and out of, she's going to kick me in the ding-ding and walk out the door. I reminded him about our discussions that I HAD to have the side steps because she was too short and that I passed on the Gladiator (stock) because she was too short and didn't like getting in and out.

He was shocked that I didn't want to spend $20k for a bunch of crap that I never asked for. So he set about looking for a truck that fit my criteria and wasted half a Saturday doing it. NO SALE.

Ended up at Peoria Ford two days later.
