Thanks to all of you, I now feel good about using the OBD2 port to power my dash cam.
Now my next question - where to mount it?
For me, to the right of the camera housing behind my rear view.
But I have the decorative applique(?) on my windshield.
Can I place the adhesive magnet on that? Or do I have to go further right to avoid it?
I don't want to do permanent damage to my windshield or it's appearance?
Any suggestions or experience to share?
