Damper Disable Feature…

Is there a way I can disable the tailgate damper without removing it? You know a switch or something.. only to be rarely used.

It would be nice to show off to the ladies that I can handle a tailgate without the need for a damper..

Hey you all know when that moment arrives, I just want to be ready!!

Before the ladies arrive lower the tailgate...then lift it when they're on the scene...

PS: Wear a long sleeve shirt so they won't notice the atrophy...

I believe you’re right. Need a paid version to get everything. The free one does quite a bit but limits some functions. Honestly it’s well worth what they’re asking for it. I can drop that amount on a tailgate damper! ?

Correctamundo! Buy premium, then send them your VIN and the serial number off your damper, NOT THE LOT NUMBER, and they send you back the code to enable damper enable/disable toggle switch functionality. If it sounds like a hassle that's because it is.

Perhaps we need to start up a post damper removal support group.

We will need personal trainers / physiotherapists ( to help build back atrophied muscles), psychologists ( to treat damper separation trauma /anxiety), dietitians ( to to support the first two with a healthy diet), financial advisers ( to guide them on a future better truck accessories purchasing pattern), and police ( to prevent the establishment of a damper black market)

There will be pain and suffering.

I am expecting all members here to support these people in their new, uncertain, and scary post damper life!
