Hi everyone

I am having an issue with my 2016 3.2 where it began to run rough that then died when you try to accelerate. I checked all the essentials and had no diesel coming to the filter from the tank. I have checked the relay and fuse then also checked for pressure and relay activation in forscan before deciding to replace the low pressure pump in the tank. After replacing the pump it was sending fuel to the filter and built pressure as it should, started multiple times and ran for 30+ mins with no problems, but as I went to take it a test drive it died as soon as you hit the accelerator as it did before and is now no longer sending diesel to the filter same as before. I have rechecked fuses and relay to insure they were still fine.

I am now completely unsure as to what to do next any ideas would be much appreciated

When you disconnect the fuel filter hose - and turn key on (No Fuel - Prime) and also Crank - (No Fuel) ? or are you just checking the filter?

If you can get it running again - What is the Fuel Rail Pressure? both Desired & Actual ? Check at Idle and at 1500 to 2000 RPMs

You need to isolate - which side of the fuel delivery the issue is on:
If LP Pump side is confirmed - then check the pump power and ground and I assume you replaced the filter (if i recall the 3.2 has a fuel filter bowl (Housing) - Is the filter installed correctly and is the O-Ring or Cover Seal (In good condition) - may not be leaking fuel, but may be aerating the fuel also check the filter housing itself for cracks and the fuel line connection to the filter.

The LP Pump - was it replaced as a complete assembly and did you inspect the tank for debris?

When I disconnect the hose at the filter I am getting no fuel at all with priming or cranking, the LP pump was replaced completely including the sending unit.

Is there 12 volt power to the fuel pump? Pump fuse and relay checked?

I do not have a 3.2 wiring diagram - this is for a 2.3 - Might be similar.

Check for power at the fuse

Check power at Pump Module (If the 3.2 has one)

Check power at the Pump

You now need to isolate where the power or ground loss is, I have a hunch you have a bad ground -if you have a connector located just below the tank - check this connector for corrosion

C410 - 2.3 Ranger Example - this has a shielded ground for the harness as well as the pump module ground.

Not sue (100%) if the 3.2 has the same basic operation of pump control.
For ref the 2.3 Pump Module is mounted just above the spare tire.

Is this truck coding anything?
