console lid replacement

i want to replace the center console lid on my truck. why you ask? trust me, dont ask. first glance it doesnt look like an easy job. i removed the console lid on my gen 1 raptor years ago and it was a piece of cake, but i dont really see any exposed screws or hardware to access. i searched the interwebs for a video but no results. anyone done this and how difficult was it?

thanks. i found that thread just before you replied. might be too big a project for me as i tend to break shit every time i turn around. wish there was a video but i might give it a go

i have one of those, but it doesnt cover the blemish i have. its such a little mark i shouldnt really care, but im really anal about crap like that when it comes to my truck

I found a console cover on Amazon and it just slips on. Looks and feels great.

I recovered my console lid on my 2019 XLT, which involved removing the lid. It wasn’t that difficult. If you go to Redline, the company that makes replacement covers they have step by step videos.

You’re welcome. I’m a 67 year old woman and I did it without any problems. It wasn’t hard to put the new cover on at all.

I took mine out, took it apart, (somewhat of a pita) and took it to an upholstery guy. Cost me 50bucks I think. Looks awesome with stitching to match the seats.
