Witam wszystkich,

Let me see if I can help.

Powodzenia.

You will probably have to run the wires from the rollbar through the rear wall of the cabin and connect them to the brake light harness. You may find it easier to connect it directly to the brake and trunk lights on the housing. I'm not sure if there is a plug or if it will work with a 4 pin connector, but it can be easily connected directly.

There is a rubber plug in the rear wall of the North American Ranger behind the driver's side passenger seat. You may also have one there and you can cut a slot in it to route the wires.

Good luck.

For everyone else, the original listing was….

Hello everyone,
I installed the original roll bar on my Ford Ranger, which has a third brake light and cargo area lights. I have a question where to look for a plug to connect them. Do I need an extra harness? I have a loose four-pin plug under the car, near the door sill, is that all?

You're supposed to be Canadian?

Looks like Duke is more Polish than I am.

Thank you all for your replies!

I know you can connect to the wiring harness anywhere, but I preferred the factory solution. I have a switch for the cargo area lighting in the cabin, and in the roll bar, in addition to the third brake light, there is also additional lighting that I also want to connect.

Does anyone have a diagram or the original roll bar and can check where it is connected?

Currently, when I press this button in the cabin, nothing comes on... and I think it should be the white illumination of the third brake light on the roof. It is possible that it is decoded because when I bought the car it had a body.

I seem to remember reading the install instructions on the EGR site , which makes the factory one , that you had to take out passenger side trim and maybe the back panel trim to run the wires ? I will see if I can find it...

I've got it!
This free plug under the car is what I'm looking for! Today I took a meter and measured it and everything is correct, there is a brake light and cargo space lighting in this plug :) the only thing I need now is either the original harness connecting this plug with the plug in the rollbar or I can make it myself, I just need to have such plugs. Do you know where I can buy them, Amazon, AliExpress?

I found it on AliExpress, it's cheap so I blindly ordered it! I will let you know if they fit and what the quality was.

Problem with us providing info on the factory solution is that in the North America, where the majority of this forum is from, there is no factory roll bar (sport bar, really since it's not really roll rated) so we are going to be much less help that a EU based group for the Ranger where that was a common part, Even the BCM wiring mentioned before likely does not apply to your truck due to major market variation.

Also, I wish I could have gotten a Ranger with the correct number of pedals on the floor, as yours has.

Problem solved, the third stop light and the cargo space lighting in the rollbar are connected :) These plugs from AliExpress are OK, fit like factory ones, good quality, I recommend.
