Ok. I'm thinking about adding a small touch of color to the front of the Ranger by using body-colored shackles.

I thought I saw a Ford OEM powder-coated shackle in blue, but haven't found it again.

I did find this link... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GJ6T5W9/ref=pe_27541410_437000110_em_1p_1_im?th=1

Anyone have this same idea? I guess I could just paint it, but looking for something more durable.

Is that $100 for 1 shackle or 1 pair?

Seems overly ecpensive with a pair costing $49 and rubber coated

PSA: Those are Front Tow Hooks.... not shackles...... Shackles are what attach the rear of the leaf springs to the frame.

Ok. In the Army, we called the tow hooks on our vehicles 'tow shackles'...used to strap them down on rail cars for transport. ...might've been a local thing.
I tried to edit the title to say "tow hooks," but could only edit the tag.

Thanks for your service.

If it's a swivel type attachment, that's a shackle or a clevis. If it's a rigid member, that's a hook.

I too like the contrasting color... wondering how well the paint will hold up to road abuse?

Here's another post where some just sprayed theirs. There's only 2-3 (depending on which trim you have) 15mm bolts so very easy to take off/on. A can of Krylon and some clear coat is much cheaper than getting new ones.:)

Plasti dip them, You can find it almost anywhere these days and cost only a few bucks and if you ever scratch them up by using them or want a different color just peel it off and respray.
