Can't toggle Rear Occupant Alert off?

New 21 xlt screw fx4 about 300 miles on it.

Every now and then when I shut off the truck the "Rear Occupant Alert" pops up on the screen reminding me not to leave anyone in the back seat. There is nothing in/on the backseat, never has been.

Not a huge deal but a little annoying so look it up and manual says to go into Settings, Vehicle and then toggle the alert to off.

Problem is when I go into Settings, Vehicle- it's not there.

Have looked in every option and menu and there is nothing even close to a Rear Seat Alert anywhere.

I don't know how to turn it off, but you will only get that message if the rear door was opened within a few minutes of starting the vehicle.

Just a thought off the top of my big ol' dumb head. Would the truck need to be running before you can turn that off. Disclaimer: I don't have any back seats, and can't test my theory.

It’s in sync menus. I want to say under general or vehicle IIRC. Turned mine off on day one

I don't have sync set up, shouldn't I be able to access it in the regular menu?

I turned mine off, but a sync update turned it back on. I was able to shut it off again and it hasn't bugged me since.

2021 lariat FX4, easily found in the menu and deactivated when I looked for it. It’s 106F outside today, not motivated to go out in the 170F truck interior to copy the menu path of how to turn it off.

One dumbass forgets their precious cargo in the back seat and now everyone has to deal with another electronic nanny.

I have a 2020 scab, and I don't recall seeing that setting. Not sure it's because it's a 2020, or a scab.

Yeah, I'll check again, but I don't have that occupant setting. I spend a while a few days ago looking for something else, and I remember the vehicle screen. It only had cam and modem settings.

It was intermittent for a while, regardless if rear door had been open etc. Maybe sync updated after I added my phone but was finally able to find it, thanks guys!
