Hey all,

Sent it pretty hard in the desert this weekend with a loaded bed. After inspecting the truck after I saw that both of my bump stops were cracked a bit. They are mostly still intact however, and I don’t believe all the cushioning is gone.

1. do I need to replace these immediately?

2. are they generally pretty easy to replace?

3. any recommendations for aftermarket ones?

I don’t usually have the bed loaded day to day and haven’t noticed and ride difference so curious what everyone’s thoughts are. Pic attached.

Thanks in advance for your input!

I don’t see the cracks you’re referring to. Replacement is simple enough but it is sometimes tough to crack the threads on them. Don’t try to zip them off with an impact or you might shear the mounting bolt - heat, patience, and a breaker bar are your friends here, Gibran.

I appreciate the note! Does that look normal to you? At the bottom I thought it looked like it’s missing a piece of it, but maybe I’m wrong. Noted on replacement, however would much rather leave them be if you don’t see anything wrong with them lol.

Never hurts to ask if you are unsure. That said we always recommend a look around the forum before asking

Yep, they look like egg pods from the movie Alien, even with the excess foam along the edges like someone didn’t trim them when they came from the mold. They totally look unfinished. Perfectly normal. There are some aftermarket bump stops that are a bit stiffer if that’s what you’re after.
