The power on/power off modes and their relation to the shift points and braking rate are critical for coasting downshifts. You just changed them all. I'm surprised the dealer even covered it under warranty.Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be radically better. Maybe a little smoother but not totally solved. Last fall I installed a GFB diverter in place of the stock eBOV. The GFB is a progressive BOV that maintains some pressure in the system when you let off the throttle, so if you get back on the throttle quickly there's still some boost available. It worked.
But, I'm now wondering if maintaining boost in the system is resulting in stronger engine/trans braking when coming to a more aggressive stop. Coming to a quick stop in traffic is when I notice that 3 to 1 harsh downshift which makes it difficult to stop smoothly.
