I'll second that. But next month the big 65 and medicare begins. I have no clue how that is going to turn out. Cross my fingers, toes, legs. and those hang me down things. If i get those to cross I think I would find out how that turns outYou're going to the wrong ones. I've been getting senior discounts here since I turned 55. At first I was afraid to ask for them but then the Polish in me took over and now I ask at every place. ?
In my case, I had a good health benefit through work and I pay monthly from retirement for it as a retirement plan. So, it was the same benefit as working.I'll second that. Thanks TerryIn my case, I had a good health benefit through work and I pay monthly from retirement for it as a retirement plan. So, it was the same benefit as working.
When it came Medicare time, that plan converted to a supplemental to Medicare and covered the 20% of Part B that Medicare doesn't and provided my Part D prescription. My wife has our dental on her Health plan and will carry it into Retirement when she does.
I retired in 2015. Medically, I have a concierge primary dr where I pay an annual fee for 24/7 availability by electronic means and routine visits every 3 months. Except for that fee Medicare has covered the bill and the supplemental has covered whatever wasn't covered, including copay. I can see him anytime I need care also.
I have had multiple surgeries/ treatments involving too much sun from my days in the tropics and loss of hair approaching Medicare age ?
I have had specialist doctors that I also see on several visits and followups. Medicare and supplemental have covered 100% of medical and copays and I have paid a couple hundred maybe for medications.
Make sure all your Drs take Medicare for Payment, otherwise you'll pay!
Make sure you can get yourself a good supplemental for that 20% portion.
Long winded, but that's my experience so far, hope it helps?
A bunch of cool seniors though! At least we think we areSo it turns out the Ranger 5G is a senior special... ?
