Tim, as others have said and done try pulling on your parking park about 20 times and it might adjust up your rear brakes and give you a higher up pedal. Good luck, Bret

Do you push in the brake pedal while pulling the emergency brake?

I would also try pulling the e brake handle up vigorously several times while backing up slowly (not crawling).

I agree! I have a 2019 ranger and a 2019 f150 for work and the f150s brakes are nice and tight the rangers breaks feel sponge like.

I wish I didn't have to apply so much pedal pressure at stop lights...

Anybody have any success with a good bleed?

My pedal is very spongy, but a couple of light pumps firms it up and to me that an indication of air in the system.

After the new-year will be time for an oil change and see if a bleed will bring about a firmer pedal.

I had mine bled at an independent shop since the dealer refused to do it. Didn’t help.

I’m curious if anyone has replaced their front brake lines with stainless steel brake lines? I have heard that they firm up break pedal feel since they don’t bulge under pressure like OEM rubber brake lines?

Look at my build thread. I replaced with a big brake kit and the pedal feels normal. This topic has been beaten to death but I still believe the pedal feel is due to a mismatch in the master cylinder to caliper ratio.

Thanks, I actually did read your build (great build btw!) I was curious if anyone just did the brake lines only. I’m not wanting to go with the big expense of a whole brake upgrade yet.

You'll probably has a minor increase in pedal feel with just the lines.

“Better” brake fluid is just higher boiling temp. No need for that here. Braided brake lines are going to help unless you change all of them, not just caliper line. Even then, only so much with abs.

Agree.
Better oil suggestion was if one is going to bleed, might as well flush. Might as well use higher performance oil. Cost is low.
