Hey Guys,

Im trying to plan out a little build. I am looking to the 2" fox level, swap the rims for some +20mm offsets and put some 255/75/17 (32") tires on the truck. The tires would be C rated.. around 45lbs.

So far I believe it won't rub anywhere because of the level, and I would be getting the speedo re-adjusted.
My main question is should I be considering rehearing moving up to that size. My knowledge in this is extremely limited so apologies if its a silly questions..

Mod it, drive it, evaluate it. Your gonna loose mpg. Probably will loose seeing gear 10 as often as you see it now. Can you do the big tires without regearing, yes.

The new Tremor package has 32" tires, and you can bet they are Standard Load instead of Load Range C. From what I see on Tire Rack, the Standard Load tires weigh about 5 pounds less than the C tires, so if the Standard Load would suffice, you are in a configuration that Ford is selling with the same engine and gearing as we already have. 5 pounds doesn't sound like a lot, but combined with the larger diameter, you will certainly notice the difference in highway performance and fuel economy. If you spend a lot of time in difficult terrain, the tougher sidewalls in the Load Range C tire may be worth it. You can always keep two sets, and switch between them for different purposes, just like we do with snow tires.

Thanks all. Im usually offload about 1-2 a week almost all year round. Ya I figured millage would drop but I'm guessing I'll be doing maybe a litre more per 100km. Still about 5 lighter than the 285's with less roll resistance.
but then again I'm not great with physics haha

So I guess just look at the actual millage the tremor gets
My FX4 came standard with Load range C tires. It did not get gas mileage equal to the EPA estimate.

Im personally not sure if mine are C or SL, I'm just guessing they are SL. I know they're the Dynapro AT-M on the FX4 package, and I'm getting anywhere from 18mpg in the dead of winter to 32mpg in the summer on country roads. On average 22mpg but I have a lighter foot...

Pete,

It looks like you have a very good combination of front end lift, tire width, and wheel offset that avoids the headaches of going too wide with too much poke.

I think you’ll avoid rubbing because you didn’t get hung up on going wide and tall.

It also looks lIke the taller tires will put you about 5% out on your speedo - when it reads 50, you’ll be doing 52.5. Your dealer or a buddy with Forscan should be able to re-calibrate your speedometer to accommodate those taller tires. Or, you can just be aware of it and adjust accordingly.

Thanks Duke, hoping it'll come out looking a little more aggressive and off road capable.. while still staying somewhat sensible when it comes to gas, haha.

Planning to get the speedo recalibrated for sure
