I'll throw another one into the mix. Have you bought your damper yet? ?
Just did; via a link from another thread. Do they pay you for each sale of those things?

I have to go to a nearby town (12 mi. away) to get 93 and it is at a Kroger store ($.03 discount per gal w/card). It was 92 but it recently went up to 93. Seems to work fine and I have no idea as to what "tier" it is.

A "tier" is what comes from your eyes when you have to slide that credit card into the pump to pay for your gas !!!

tier | ˈtir | noun
a level or grade within the hierarchy of an organization or system
example : companies have taken out a tier of management to save money.
In fuel, "Top Tier" is used to denote the best grade of fuel available. It has additives that exceed the manufacturer's requirements for cleaning and minimizing combustion deposits.
Non-top tier is ok, but over time combustion deposits and carbon buildup will be more than if you fill with a top tier brand. In the US & Canada, almost all of the major brands carry the Top Tier certification

Think of a butcher shop: ground top sirloin would be top tier hamburger, ground round would be just fine, but not as tasty and somewhat greasier.

Hmmmmmm...does that mean that greaser meat would "lube" your insides, then "greaser gas" would also lube your engine internals ???:crackup::crackup:

Exactly! $2.99/lb hamburger and fried foods help blood flow more easily, lowering your blood pressure!

I wonder why this topic comes up from time to time? I can't speak for everywhere, but here in SE NM, there are three refineries I know about. All of the fuel here in Roswell, regardless of brand, all comes from the same refinery in Artesia. I suspect this is a very common occurrence.

Thanks for the definitions but I was only commenting on the fact that I didn't know what tier the Kroger gas is. I am aware of what "tier" means and what "Top Tier" fuel means. :like:

I typically use 93 E0 in my FPP tuned Ranger at home - not available here in NE FL. Started a new fueling strategy on this trip. 4 ounces of Lucas Safeguard Ethanol Fuel Conditioner at every fill up of Shell 93 E10. 93 E0 is often spotty quality at home, with stations selling whatever and labeling it 93 E0, and pricing it accordingly. Ranger actually seems to like the current regimen better.
