I totally agree with your comments on the surveys.. as for the "Cheesy cutbacks deleting items", all the OEM's discontent vehicles in order to reduce cost and stay profitable. Not saying it is right, but it is common practice, especially from the Big 3
Thanks and I know you're right. Its always about profit margins. That's why 5 pound bags of sugar or 4 pound bags for the same price and so forth with everything else that is sold by weight.

Great option for tie downs. What is the bolt size and threads you went with?
The threaded hole is M8 x1.25. I went with the 25mm length. Very common. You can get these any virtually any material, strength, finish, and head/drive type.
