So I have a 2020 Ranger XLT that has a tri-fold hard cover on and it's great. My issue is what type of tie does can I add to the truck so I can tie down something that doesn't fit in the bed but I'm putting it on the hard cover.. any suggestions or pics to get ideas would be great. Thanks everyone.

I really miss the Bull Ring tie downs that I had on my F-150. I'm not aware of anything similar for our Rangers, but I'll be following this to see if there is something out there.

Most folding hard covers are not intended for anything to be carried on them. They are typically aluminum and fiberglass or some other similar lightweight construction.

Right. So I had tie downs on other trucks before but it's driving me crazy on my Ranger. Never really worried so much about it until this last weekend and now it's driving me crazy.. I've spent most of my morning at work doing research and nothing.

Right but i usually add not heavy items. I've had stuff likea longer window and it worked great but was a real pain to try and tie it down without anything to really be able to strap it to.

I've use cargo nets inside the bed often. They work great for that. You could try it. Also notice in this picture the truck has outside bed cleats.

You could add bed cleats to the outside but the body panels are not intended to take weight and could easily rip a hole.
