Bed sides reinforcements?

I know the truck is fresh off the printing press but have anybody heard of this truck needing bed side reinforcements like the Tacoma in order to be able to handle load on a bed rack?

I know the truck is fresh off the printing press but have anybody heard of this truck needing bed side reinforcements like the Tacoma in order to be able to handle load on a bed rack?

Tacoma's bed is a composite material (metal & plastic). The Ranger is made up of good old fashioned steel, not aluminum like in the F-150.

Edit: Ranger's fully boxed frame also helps reduce the bed from flexing as well. Tacoma's frame is not fully boxed.
