Trying to figure out why this happened and how I can prevent it. I think it was from me 3 wheeling/flexing on a snow pile. Almost looked like I hit something or something hit me, but no damage anywhere else.

I've never had enough flex, even with a wheel off the ground, to push the bed into the cab.

Any chance you had ice build-up in-between while you were on the snow pile? I could see the ice, coupled with flex causing denting. I als wouldn't rule out other external factors.

No ice buildup at the time. I was going up a snow pile on the front left. No damage anywhere on the vehicle. Debating on just getting it fixed through insurance, pay for it myself, or just leave it after I had hit it with a paint pen.

You got alot going on there, did the paint crack?
Yup, paint did Crack. I picked off the flakes and painted it with a pen already.
