Some are still skiing here but we personally ended our season a week ago. Although we have skied weeks later than this. Nonetheless, we had a great season. Wally seen here enjoying the spring snow.

Wally looks like he's rolled over and playing dead hoping his buddy doesn't see him.

86F down here in Raleigh, NC. At least the humidity is still below 70%. It won't be long until the dog days of summer - Mid 90's with 95%+ humidity. It's coming up on major AC time! The bad thing is temps drop at night, but humidity will go up even higher. It does at times drop in the mid day sun, but it will overheat a fellow pretty quickly.

No sauna. Its in rough shape and might not be salvageable. Logs home need maintenance and more maintenance or they rot.
Yes. We usually have them painted or with wood protect. And then you have to take the Hercules Ants into account which eat the logs out if don't have it protected or poison them. Usually you just need to change the two most bottom logs. Usually an easy job, but takes time and preparation. I hope the logs are raised on rocks or atleast with blocks and there's a water barrier between the rock and the log.

We got plenty of log cabins here :) (And I think many of the old one's in Dakota, Minnesota & Michigan are made by Finns (or Swedes))

But do you know what perfectly goes with that log cabin? A log smoke sauna*!

* = Example here, not mine but something similar.
