I know these aren't nearly as deep, but I had 2 dents right on a body line on my Mustang and a PDR guy got them out perfectly. He did need access to the inside to press on the dents though. These guys are wizards at making inconspicuous access (holes) to get tool access to make such repairs.

Now I have 3 door dings on the Ranger and I probably won't bother to fix them since I'll just get even more.

A reputable PDR place should be able to get that out, even on a seam. When I had my GTI some garden tool I had hanging in the garage fell off the rack and hit the GTI and dented it right on the body line. PDR guys we use at work got it out no problem.

As far as access, if you remove the interior panels before hand it may bring the cost down some. At least that's my experience. Good luck, hope the frisbee thrower mans up and takes responsibility.

I actually had a dent on my bed side from a knee or elbow. It was only about a quarter size and was a round pressed in spot so I got a gorilla glue stick and my glue gun and did like they do in the vids. Big glob just on the dent center. Add a "handle" while still hot (I used a bolt with a head about half the dent size pushed half way in to the glue glob. And pull! It worked pretty well! I did it a few more times and the dent no longer catches your eye. Glue clean up with alcohol and done. After that I actually looked at the "pro" dent kits to keep on hand and still need to order one when I get a chance. Truck needs a wash but this is the dent. Right above the O, before you could spot it walking up to it.

This may not work on his dent without a lot of work though.
