Which snorkel did you put on? Our summers are hot and very dry so lots of dust which is what got me thinking about a snorkel.

Thinking this is the way to go.
I have the Bourne Offroad/Mishimoto snorkel with the Snorkel Upgrade pre-filter. Its a great setup. When you hear the intake of air through the snorkel, you will understand how restricted the little mouth on the OE intake box is.

Did you go for the dry filter or oiled for that?

I went with a dry OE filter. I tried the K&N that came with the FP Tune and, after a relatively short period, it was super muddy. The dirt that made it to the filter was getting gummed up in the oil. I figured a dry filter would be better.

So tune is in, things a rocket now, even fully laden for a trip on the weekend still able to straight send it on the highway up ?. Can't remember if I had the roof rack up, but yeah prinsu is installed now, lights are all installed still waiting on a part so we can get those all wired up and finish the Arb/warn install.
Then last thing for now will be getting my delete platform built which will bring it all together. Stoked.
And loving my new tires too way better than what I had before.

Good luck with your build Rob. Good tunes now days are not chips but actual software upgrades. I have the Unleashed tune and love it. My Ranger shifts way better and has 300 HP instead of the stock 270 HP. Most of the after market tunes are great for our trucks. The main three are Livernois, Unleashed and Ford Performance tunes. Enjoy your mods and Ranger.

Being in California is the biggest factor for you with all those things to consider. That said when it comes to making a vehicle more OffRoad capable, it really comes down to what the exact goal is. Even I have learned that it is possible to keep a vehicle as a daily while making it more cable for OffRoad, but there is a fine line for that. Once you cross that line it's no longer a practical daily.
Agreed ?

Well it's been a while, sad news though I had basically finished my build from front to back then had an angry driver force me off the road and off a 6ft embankment into the bush, luckily no big trees. Minor functional damage but lots of bodywork damage which meant the truck got written off. luckily I managed to salvage most of my parts other than the suspension I put on there. sad times.
But I take possession of an almost clone ranger tomorrow, upgrading from a 2019 to a 2020 in the same specs and colour if you can believe it.

Which means I get to do my build all over again which I'm thilled about haha. But it means i get to upgrade the suspension to OME BP51s this time round but everything will be the same on this build as the old one.

Wish me luck haha

Bummer about the 2019 but now you can improve on that build with experience gained with your 2020 build

yeah it's nice going into it having done all the work once before so hopefully it goes a lil smoother than it did last time round and stoked on the suspension upgrade. I'm also going to slap on some 34s this time round.

First off glad you're alright as that's the most important as vehicles are replaceable! Now make sure you take everything that you can off your '19 because they started deleting items in '20. After my accident in my '19 I plucked it clean like a turkey on Thanksgiving Day! Make sure you take the rear tilting headrests and the engine cover and check this list here. Have fun with the next one!

oh yeah the truck did a great job at keeping us safe in honesty I've hit worse pot holes. I've stripped everything I could I think. Crazy to see the list of shit they stopped installing, pretty cheeky if you ask me. Here's what she looked like at my last goodbye.

well found out today that you can only use the ford performance tune on one vehicle so guess i'm in the market for another tune, which is annoying.
