Can someone confirm the autowbrake will not work with the Ford AEB?

From my understanding the autowbrake is a gyroscope and accelerometer that senses that you are braking, like a surge brake, and would apply trailer brakes if AEB were to activate, unlike any other trailer brake controller.

If surge brakes are compatible with AEB I’d think the autowbrake would be also?
If the Autowbrake uses an accelerometer to sense the tow vehicle is braking then it would work with AEB.

The reason a conventional brake controller does not work with AEB is the controller is wired to the brake light switch on the brake pedal. During an AEB event the pedal switch is not activated so the trailer brakes are not activated. The Ford system is tied to the brake lights that are activated by the AEB system, that is why it has the second Lumen module that tells the controller the truck is braking.

Thank you. I’m gonna wire this up and see how it does. Out of the box, it has wires for +12V, Ground, sense wires for Left Turn and Right Turn / Brake, and then an output to the electric brakes on your trailer.

Looks simple, has a remote to control sway, and can also let you “fine tune” the level for higher or lower braking force.

Product is heavy, looks well built, and not of cheap quality. For a $400 (including shipping and tax) brake controller this thing is impressive and doesn’t feel like cheap overseas junk.
